Health & Safety Policy Statement of Intent

Loxbrook Associates (‘the company’) and its subsidiaries accepts its obligations and is committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities encompassing society’s moral expectations, statutory legal and financial responsibilities arising out of common & statute law in respect of Safety, Health & Welfare of its employees and others who may be affected by its undertakings. It is the policy of the Company to meet its commitment by ensuring, so far as is reasonably practicable, that employees are able to execute their work without unacceptable risk to their safety or health and that our clients, customers, agents, contractors, members of the of the public and others who may affected by its business activities are treated in the same manner. 

The Board of Directors  ('the Board’) takes overall responsibility ensuring that safety, health and welfare is afforded proper consideration at the highest level and that adequate & effective arrangements together with appropriate resources are provided to meet its objectives by implementing the terms of policy within the context. The Board nominates one member to be Health & Safety Director in accordance with best practice and current guidance from the Health and Safety Executive.

To achieve the objectives of this policy, the Company will:

a) Establish local policies, procedures, method statements and safe systems of work to provide and maintain a safe and healthy environment to work and consult with employees on matters affecting safety, health, PPE and the working environment

b) Make arrangements for dealing with fire, security & other emergencies

c) Provide adequate information, instruction, training & supervision for employees

d) Ensure that line managers/supervisors are skilled and competent in health and safety matters enabling them to assess and manage appropriate risks associated with work activities under their control in accordance with the Company policies, procedures and good health and safety practice

e) Ensure that all employees, agents, contractors and others over whose work we exercise control to any material degree are fully aware of their own responsibilities for Safety, Health & Welfare

f) Exercise appropriately &/or as permitted by law reasonable control over the activities of contractors & others who undertake work in connection with the companies undertaking to protect the safety, health and environment which may be placed at risk in connection thereof

g) Allocate sufficient financial budgets to ensure Safety, Health & Welfare policies can be effectively implemented throughout places of work directly under the company control

h) Monitor, audit and review our Safety, Health & Welfare performance from time to time to establish its effectiveness and drive continual improvements

The Manager Director is appointed in accordance with the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999 has the suitably competent person to fulfil a coordinated, advisory and audit role in Health & Safety maters and provides a common strategy for the consistent standards and direction for Safety, Health and Welfare

The Policy will be reviewed and revised from time to time to ensure an effective health and safety framework is maintained and continues to support good standards of health and safety of all employees and others arising out of the conduct or activities of the business.
